Homeward bound...

Well, I've got to get home so I'm turning this over to a good friend of mine. Treat him well. I'll hear about it if you don't.

Things you can never have enough of...

Pillows.
Towels.
Ice Cubes.

I'm sure there are more but those are the important ones.

Just wondering...

Why is it that the truth is so offensive to so many people?

The Big Picture

Why is it so hard to see the big picture when, very often, that "big-picture" view makes things so much easier to understand? Why do people insist on evaluating the worth of certain events as if they occur in a vacuum?

A day well spent

Just got back in time to see another beautiful sunset tonight. I was over at Little Ed's all afternoon and lost track of the time. Last week he bought a bunch of stuff at an estate sale out on Johnson County Road. Turns out one of the trunks he bought wasn't full of magazines at all. The top 6 inches were magazines but under those were about 300 old comic books from the early to mid '60s. I spent all afternoon digging through them and ended up buying the whole lot from him for $200 (twice what he paid for the trunk and its contents - all he really wanted was the trunk anyway. Said he wouldn't feel right taking more than that even though I told him they were probably worth quite a bit more.) Not really sure what all is in there yet but I'm looking forward to finding out.

One of these days I'll get to writing about some "important" stuff but I just can't (or is that "don't want to"?) yet.

Things To Do

Before I get to the serious stuff, I'm going to spend a couple of days getting the little things in order. The place was a little stuffy and dusty so I've got it all opened up (although that window upstairs in the northwest corner needs fixing.) It's a perfect day, about 70, partly cloudy and breezy. Everything's unloaded so, after lunch, I'm going to fix the screens on the back porch before I head up to the north end of the lake.

Back in Polson once again...

It's good to be back. I've been gone for far too long.
